Current unobtrusive methods for monitoring driver state are not (yet) good enough to be used to support automated driving. This is one of the challenges being tackled by the ADAS&ME consortium.

– Different approaches / technologies for driver monitoring currently being researched / developed / piloted, and commercially available.

– HMI strategies supporting a safe transition from manual to automated driving fed by driver monitoring systems.
